Our creative curriculum has been developed in response to our beautiful location in the Peak District. We believe that it is important for our children to know their local area, but also to be able to compare it with others at local, national and international levels. Outdoor learning is very important to us and is gradually developing. All of our outdoor area is there to be used by the children at break times; it was the children themselves who introduced through the school council wellingtons to the uniform list.
The schools' animal team look after our chickens and rabbits teaching them high levels of responsibility in a practical way. Our Silkies have grown in number to six during 2015 with four different colours. We hope to emulate our successes at the Manifold and Ashbourne Shows last year when we enter the National Show later on this term. Fitzy and Berty , our rabbits, are very well loved and keep their carers on their toes.
